💙January Jam: A True Blue Beginner’s Jam💙
Let’s start the year by taking a deep breath, loosening our shoulders, and making some wonderful music together. Our January Jam is coming up and we’re kicking off 2026 with a True Blue Beginner’s Jam — a relaxed, joyful session built around fun, familiar songs that are easy to jump into and a pleasure to play.

What’s a “True Blue Beginner’s Jam”?💙
Every song we’ll play has the word “Blue” in the title or lyrics, and the charts are geared toward simpler, friendlier arrangements. We’ll focus on strumming, singing, and playing at the same time — the core skills that make jamming fun and confidence-building.
While this jam is especially welcoming to beginners, players of all skill levels are encouraged to join in. Intermediate and advanced players often find these jams to be a great opportunity to refine technique, experiment with new approaches, and just enjoy playing music without overthinking it.
And yes — these are all genuinely fun songs.
For almost every song, we’ll also include a play-along video, so you can download the charts, practice at home, and get comfortable before the jam. This post is going out two weeks early on purpose — think of it as an invitation to ease into the music at your own pace.
Everyone Is Welcome
You don’t need to be a member to attend.
You don’t even need to own a ukulele. We usually have a couple of loaner ukuleles, and you’re always welcome to just sing along — or simply sit back and enjoy the music.
This jam is a chance to exhale, let go of the holiday rush, and reconnect with the simple joy of making music together. No pressure. No expectations. Just friendly faces, fun songs, and the world’s happiest instrument.
