Governing Documents

Like any 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Salt Lake Strummers created two “governing documents” when we became a non-profit organization.
We are committed to being transparent, so we are sharing them with you.

  • Articles of Incorporation – This is kinda like our Declaration of Independence. It was created to say, “We are a corporation”. Once you’ve said it, they don’t really mean much after that.
Disclaimer: While we are committed to transparency, we are even more committed to personal privacy, so you may notice that somebody’s home address has been redacted in this document.
  • Bylaws for Salt Lake Strummers – This document is like our Constitution. It defines the rules for how we should behave and make decisions. We’ve modified them once: to ensure that Board Members have term limits.
