The Salt Lake Strummers is an active learning ukulele club in Salt Lake City, Utah. We typically meet the 3rd Saturday of the month around 10:00 am with about 50 or more people in attendance.
As of December 2023, we now have a new, permanent home with the South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society. See location in the map below.
We send out our setlist ahead of our play alongs. Look at our songbook on this site and you are welcome to use any songs we have out there – we have shamelessly borrowed from others too.
We also like to perform. If you would like to join our email routing list to ensure you receive accurate details about our meetings or to contact us about performing, please contact us!
Thank you!!
Our Mission
Salt Lake Strummers unites ukulele players in musical collaboration, skill building, knowledge sharing, and the joy of making music for ourselves and the community.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Salt Lake Strummers is to provide a welcoming and supportive community for ukulele players of all skill levels in the Salt Lake area above the age of 18. The organization aims to promote the enjoyment of music, foster skill development, and create opportunities for musical collaboration and performance in the community.
Our History
It was all started around 2019, when Marci Villa, an experienced educator with a love for ukulele and all kinds of music, met with around 30 ukulele enthusiasts just to jam and learn some new tunes. Word got out and the group has been growing ever since. Near the end of 2023, we’d been averaging about 50-75 people at our monthly jams. We decided it was time to become a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization with the goal to “Keep on Strummin’!” Our future has never looked brighter.
