Update: The January 10th Workshop has been cancelled due to concerns for the weather.
Also the song for the January 24 Workshop has changed.

The January workshops will be very exciting as we are bringing in a guest artist on January 10th to teach us the song “HAPPY” by Pharrell Williams.  Our guest artist is the talented Ryan Taylor, who leads the Happy Valley Uke Group in American Fork.  Ryan also is a composer, arranger, beautiful vocalist and producer.   You will find his style to be thorough and gentle.  

Ryan will lead us through a 3-part version of the vocals and instrumentals of the song “HAPPY”. For some of you, the music may look a little tough – remember, we will be learning and there is a part for every level of player.  We need some people to just sing and clap their hands so please know that you will learn something and will have a part in this fun piece.  Music will be provided at the workshop.

January 10th – Ryan will lead us through as much of the song as he can in the time allowed.  

January 24th – Marci will continue with the song reinforcing and practicing what we have learned and we will improve what we have learned.  

Location for both dates:  Millcreek Library – 2266 Evergreen Avenue, Millcreek, Utah

Time:  6:00pm 

The January workshops are free to all this time. Beginning in February, workshops are free if you are a Member of Salt Lake Strummers. Non-members may still attend the workshops; however we will ask for you to contribute $10 to defer our costs. Workshops will run until May 8th and then will be suspended for the summer months.
