Life with the Salt Lake Strummers
Who Are We?
Salt Lake Strummers is a community of about 100 adult ukulele players from across the Salt Lake Valley. We’re beginners, experts, and everything in between — all brought together by a love of music, learning, and laughter.
Our mission is simple: to create a welcoming place where adults can grow as musicians, make new friends, and enjoy making music together. Whether you’ve strummed for years or just picked up your first uke, you’ll find encouragement, support, and a whole lot of joy here.
What Do We Do?
We gather all year long to learn, play, and share music together.
Monthly Jams
Every 3rd Saturday at 10:00 AM, we hold a free, open jam session at:
South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society
6876 South Highland Drive
About two weeks before each jam, we post the song list and printable PDF charts so you can practice in advance. Many jams feature a bass player and drummer — it keeps things lively!
Twice-Monthly Workshops
On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings, we host free ukulele workshops at local libraries throughout the valley. These sessions help you build skills, improve technique, and grow as a musician.
Community Performances
We’re also available for performances at community events, festivals, and gatherings. If you’d like to book us, just contact us.
Where we jam
South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society (SVUUS) at 6876 South Highland Drive
Time: 10:00 am – noon on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
We are not affiliated with SVUUS, we just have a nice business relationship with these very fine people.
